Just another tragic and avoidable example, which illustrates why we need stronger anti-bullying and stronger complaints procedures in workplaces throughout this country.
I actually saw a report on this case on the local news last night and the girl in this report was the second girl to work at this particular branch of KFC to attempt suicide. The first girl survived, the second girl didn’t. Since the highly amusing practice of locking catering staff in walk in freezers (a small sympton of the wider abuse dished out in this case, which also included threats of rape and murder) isn’t an uncommon one, maybe further investigation into other establishments is required.
