Abortion Stories

A chance to help influence the abortion debate for the better, from Abortion Rights:

“Marie Claire magazine is running a big feature on women\x92s experience of abortion and need women to contribute. The story is a re-run of a feature in the US version of the magazine, which has been exceptionally popular.

“Marie Claire is looking for 12 women in their 20s and 30s who have had an abortion. They want to publish 400 words on each woman underneath their photo and name. The story will also include the experiences of some high profile British women.

“Abortion Rights is constantly looking for opportunities to publicise women\x92s ordinary, usually positive, experiences of abortion in order to break the taboo and silence surrounding the issue and counter the anti-choice horror stories, which gain overwhelming levels of media coverage.

“If you can help by giving your story for this or other positive women\x92s magazine articles, please contact the Abortion Rights office as soon as possible. You can also help by passing on this call to others who may be able to help.

“Many thanks,
