Capitalwoman 2006

by Lynne Miles // 9 February 2006, 15:20

Ken Livingstone is holding his third annual conference for women on Saturday 4th March.

Capitalwoman is a forum for discussing the issues that matter to, and affect, women in London. It enables women to question the Mayor and other policymakers, and provides an opportunity to feed into future policy development.

Some of the topics covered this year will be childcare issues, the Olympics and Paralympics games, abortion rights, women in London\x92s economy and the Mayor\x92s strategy for Older People.

Ken will be delivering the keynote speech, and other speakers include MPs Harriet Harman and Diane Abbot, Deputy Mayor Nicky Gavron and Vivien Hayes, the director of the Women\x92s Resource Centre.

I\x92ve been in previous years, and it\x92s a really interesting day. It\x92s free to register and attend. More information is here.
