New London Feminist Culture Magazine

by Catherine Redfern // 28 March 2006, 22:30

Vagina Magazine is a London based "feminist culture magazine" which intends to publish it's first issue in June, and is looking for contributors and interested people to help out.

"The vast majority of popular culture is all a bit shite, really. The music is as soulless as the people making it, while real music languishes and dies in the wake of multi-million pound advertising campaigns. The clothes are cheap repositories of human misery and pathetic, derivative design, devoid of imagination. And despite having more access than ever to the world, we know fuck all about what's happening, or the people we share it with. And if you do see those glimmers of a promising reality, they're few and far between.

"....Here at Vagina Magazine, want to bring the glimmers closer together.

"We need journalists, writers (fiction, poetry), designers, photographers and artists. We can offer a googleable by-line for all work, space for a profile, or an online CV, and an in - you can be part of something revolutionary."

For those who can't wait, the blog is up and running.
