Introducing Laura, our new blogger

by Jess McCabe // 22 February 2007, 12:17

Readers may well be familiar with our newest blogger, Laura from the excellent blog Not A Feminist But.

Laura will be blogging for us about once a week, from her temporary new home in Chile. You can also check out this Guardian article for more information about how Laura got switched on to feminist activism after watching Sin City. As well as blogging, Laura also set up activist group Sheffield Fems.

I'll pass you over to her to describe herself:

Feminist, socialist, long time F Word fan, film geek, linguist and cheese-a-holic. Bringing you feminist news, analysis and rantage from half way across the world through the beautiful medium of Teh Intarweb. (I'm volunteering in Chile for six months, so won't be blessing UK with my presence until September). When at home I study French and Hispanic studies at Sheffield and desecrate lads' mags displays in shops.
