A few wider news stories

Whilst not entirely gender focussed there are a couple of headlines of note:
- The Prime Minister has refused to rewrite the guidance on blood donations to stop discrimination against gay and bisexual men. Because a third to half of the donations with Hep B or HIV are from gay men they are therefore to remain banned (is it only me for whom that statistics don't make sense - surely with a half to two thirds coming from other groups they should be banned too!)
- MPs have decided they should be exempt from the Freedon of Information Act. Obviously our elected public servants shouldn't be held to the same account as our paid ones.
