Comic Fans, Spiderman 3 and feminist ire

To celebrate the launch of Spiderman 3 Marvel released a series of statuettes for collectors. Including this one of Mary Jane (Peter Parker's wife for the uninitiated). Here's a piccie (the one on the left):

Needless to say this aroused female comic fans passions somewhat (and somewhat differently to male comic fans passions I'm guessing). For commentary on it see When Fangirls Attack Special Outrage of the Week edition.
