Doll Face

YouTube provides interesting fodder sometimes (for anyone who hasn't already seen it the "Fat Rant" is another example). Today's offering was Doll Face.

An interesting view on the unattainability of beauty in a media age and much kudos to the programmers for the work on it. But, for me, it lacks one thing - an acknowledgement that men are involved. Here the subtext is that women break themselves for beauty without men being present in the process. But we know that isn't true - men control the media, men verbally and physically abuse "unattractive" women, men make profits from the beauty industry. I'd love to see a revision of that which encapsulates that aspect too.
