#3 – breastfeed

Following my last post about the woman berated by the bus driver for putting her breasts in his eyeline, Anj Green has emailed to point out that #3 on the list ought certainly to be breastfeeding:

“It is frankly LUDICROUS to think that they might be used for infant nourishment when their intended purpose is a marketing tool designed to sell, well, pretty much anything to one half of the population and keep the other half firmly in their place”

#4 – run for president

Hot on the heels of the Jacqui Smith cleavage debacle, the Washington Post has been providing what they no doubt like to think is a highbrow analysis of the socio-political statements made by Hilary Clinton’s clothes (and, natch, cleavage):

“Showing cleavage is a request to be engaged in a particular way […] to display cleavage in a setting that does not involve cocktails and hors d’oeuvres is a provocation”
