From The Big Issue In The North:
“Organisations that want to know more about the benefits of volunteers from groups not normally attracted to volunteering - such as young people, asylum seekers, black and minority ethnic communities and the unemployed - are invited to an event in Salford on 7 September. The event, at the Lowry, is organised by GoldStar, a national project to boost volunteering. Among the speakers will be 21-year-old Ahmed Shazad, a volunteer adviser at Cheetham Hill Advice Centre.”
