46th Carnival of Feminists up at Cubically Challenged

by Jess McCabe // 27 October 2007, 10:00

The latest feminist carnival is up and ready to read, over at Cubically Challenged.

How cool is it that there have been 46 of these Carnivals?

As usual, there's enough tasty reading material for a reader to chow down on for some while. But I would particularly recommend this post by Saudi Stepford Wife, on the similarities between the position of women in the Kingdom and slavery. Number one:

I cannot leave my house without my husband’s permission. If I did and my husband wanted to exercise his “power”, he can have the police bring me back or even imprison me where Muslim women in other countries would only have to contemplate incurring divine punishment in the afterlife.
