It’s New Year’s day, 2007 has drawn to a close and almost every feminist blog in my RSS reader seems to have compiled ‘best of’ posts to finish off the year.

But we didn’t. The reason, though, is a good one. Over the past year, we’ve increased our blogging team - including both regular posters and guest bloggers - to the point where refining down a list of 10 or 20 best posts would be a Herculean task.

It’s been a busy and exciting year for The F Word. Some of the highlights for me, since taking over as editor last February, have been launching the new podcast, setting up the new shop and having the chance to meet so many readers and contributors in person over the year.

For 2008, we’ve got more of the same in the works. You can look forward to episode three of the podcast very soon, as we’re recording it next weekend. I’m also hoping to make them a more frequent occurance. We are also very pleased with how the shop is doing, and will soon be able to fill you in with some more information about how we will donate the money and use it to improve The F Word itself.

But, most importantly, 2008 looks set to be another fabulous year of The F Word as a space for feminists to read about the issues that concern us, to express our own views on those issues, to debate, to keep informed and to connect.
