A quick update on the shop issue

by Jess McCabe // 15 February 2008, 10:53

We have removed the 'similar items' function from our shop. These items were selected by Amazon, not by us.

It's a bit of a shame to get rid of this function, because Amazon often popped up with interesting and relevant books. But unfortunately, as we discovered earlier this week, it also managed to add some products that we do not want to associate ourselves with.

We can't filter what Amazon puts in that section, and once done, it's difficult for the casual reader to tell the difference, because the items are displayed in our template. So we had to make a call, and came down on the side of just getting rid of that function altogether. Remember you can always email us (or leave comments!) if you have ideas for books, CDs, DVDs, etc, that we should stock.
