Anji at Shut Up, Sit Down has done a stellar job of pulling statistics together to prove her assertion that violence against women is of such epidemic proportions globally that it should be categorised as a war on women. Just one example:
Worldwide, male violence against women is the cause of more deaths and disability around the world in 15- to 44-year-olds than cancer, malaria, traffic accidents or war combined.
One to bookmark for the next time someone tells you that feminism is irrelevant.
