Sleazy description of a charity auction makes green site look… well… sleazy

Britney Spears is doing the wholly unremarkable: auctioning off some of her clothes to raise money for a good cause.

I guess this was a boring story, and the otherwise rather good Daily Green website decided that it needed spicing up. How else to explain their decision to describe the auction thus:

Undressing Britney Spears (for the Environment)
Bids for Brit’s Clothes at $2,560.20 and Climbing

Daily Green, a word in your ear. It’s not cool to make a boring event more interesting by making it sound kind of porny. If nothing else, it makes the moralistic whine about Spears using the auction for good PR ring a bit hollow.
