While I'm on the subject of listening to those who don't share my privilege, here's the latest Disability Blog Carnival. Having spent many school holidays working with wonderful, happy children with a whole range of special needs, I want to highlight this one quote:
"...if you think developmental disability is 'every parent's worst nightmare', you have led a sheltered life"
