Jezebel coup on airbrushing

Jezebel has paid an inordinate sum of money to bring us this example of the cynical digital manipulation of women’s bodies. It’s a photo of Faith Hill, on the right as it appeared on the cover of Redbook and on the left the original photo.

Jezebel actually did this clever gif thing too…

And this “correction” by numbers guide which is really quite disturbing.
It just remind me of this example of how to reduce a plus sized model to a skinny girl with large breasts.

I find it intriguing that a lot of the comments on the later video seem convinced the photoshop is being played in reverse or the original image is a fake. It is odd how many people think the 2nd picture is a more natural image.
