Carnival of Feminists No 59

The Carnival of Feminists No 59 is up at Philobiblon.

And as Natalie says, there’s "a veritable cornucopia of feminists posts". And she’s used an interesting way of organising the links: they’re in the order in which the nominations arrived.

I notice one or two familiar names: our very own Kate Smurthwaite’s post on her Cruella blog, Trouble in Comedy-Land is linked; as are several women who, in addition to being excellent bloggers in their own right, also manage to make the time to contribute to the comments here at TFW, so a big hello to you, it’s great to see you getting credit…

There really are loads of links here; Ann Bartow recovers some feminist history from the archives with a clip from an interview of Margaret Sanger in 1957… Agent of Desire has a thought-provoking post, The Female Sex Agent, which outlines an exercise to help women claim back our sexual agency - "it will feel a bit strange, but is very empowering"… Deborah’s post Where did I learn my racism? explores the intersection of racism and sexism, and Marcella Chester considers Why Rape Survivors Go Online.

The next CoF (No 60) will be on 9th July at Unmana’s Words, and the Carnival of Feminists website, with all the details on how to nominate a blog post, can be found here.
