WTF?

Orangina - “naturally juicy” like pole dancing, porn and anthropomorphising animals to be “sex” objects.

Is that an actual advert? Either way, are you sure it was a good idea to post it? Because you might attract a hell of an audience with that, just saying.
As for the sexualised overtones in connection with the slogan, I can only assume it comes from a translation of the French slogan: 'pulpeuse' is an adjective that can be both applied to women and citrus fruit.

I saw this on BBC3 the other night and watched in utter disbelief. I was aghast enough at the pole dancing, then I saw the symbolic spraying of semen (ie orangina) and just thought, OMG. How on earth did this get on TV? Eurgh.

I saw that the other day and it scared the bejesus out of me! Over-sexualised torsos with grotesque long-necked animal heads and hooves, I thought all that poledancing would snap their necks. And their expressions are so suggestive! I get a weird feeling that the designer had a furry fetish...

One of the first things I noticed as well as the sexism were the stereotypical race undertones (overtones?) - the light skinned/furred 'female' and the big, dark skinned/furred hulking over-sexed beast that she dances with. I find that really jarring.

I saw this on TV and was really freaked out by it. I just don't understand, why are some animals sexy and female and some male? Why everything? I used to like orangina but now it makes me think of freaky sex-animals.

Why does the huge bear which I presume is male have to wear a jock strap. I thought bears bodies were totally covered in fur so there was no need to wear a jock strap. Advertisement is porn and only difference is women are turned into animals, but still with the sexualised and exagerated bodies whose sole aim is to sexually please and pleasure men. Nothing new there. Oh yes we must have the 'cum' shot too with spraying of semen oh sorry it is orangina of course!! But clearly intended to be semen sprayed over the female animals' bodies. Don't worry it won't be withdrawn because it is just harmless misogynstic fun.

I read this post right before I took a nap, and thought the video was one of the more unsettling things I'd seen in a while, even disregarding the sexism. During my nap, I dreamt I was being attacked by several anthropomorphized animals, and that I had to kill them and then dismember them using only a serrated kitchen knife. One of them was the bear from the video.
Thanks for nothing, Orangina!

Unfortunately, this is a real advert. I'm glad it was picked up on though. Honestly baffled at how this is getting shown on TV, albeit late night.
The octopus (iirc) and the end might be the worst bit, what with the squeezing of orange juice on her boobs. Closely followed by the animals straddling squirting bottles of Orangina.

OH MY GOODNESS! I saw this last night and watched with open mouthed disbelief. It's ... I mean.. It's terrifying! It's not, for a start going to make me want to buy Orangina, because now i'm scared that it's made by wierd sex-human-animals. Aside from the initial horror, the bit that most irritated me is the different animals they've chosen to portray men and women; a big, massive black bear for a man, wierd twiggy giraffes for a women, and their physiques, whilst being horrible, are SO over-sexed it's unbelievable. I can't imagine anyone's going to be sold by this advert though, simply 'cos it's so terrifyingly bizarre. I think it made me feel quite ill, actually.

The Advertising Standards Authority is the UK body for regulating ads. If you want to do something about the Orangina ad you should complaint to them.
Their website is www.asa.org.uk
It may be worthwhile complaining to Clearcast as well - they're the TV advertising pre-clearance body ...

All I thought when I watched this was that furry porn has finally made its way into the mainstream. And I wept, quietly.
It's really put me off Orangina, which is a shame, because it was my favourite drink as a child.

Also, all the female animals were prey animals (and a plant in one instance), while all the male animals were predator animals - women are literally there to be (hunted, killed, and) consumed.

I hate this ad, it's vile but will probably be beloved amongst the furry community. I can't recall what the lady animals were (and am trying not to ever have to watch it again) but the bit where the bear slides between the legs of several of the ladies, seemingly punching/headbutting them in the vagina has to be my least favourite bit.

OMG! So glad that I'm not alone with finding this advert super creepy! I too thought that the octopus squeezing her boobs was the worst bit - the mock orgasmic look on her face actually made me want to vomit. I don't understand how anyone could have thought that this advert was fit to be screened...

I've complained to the ASA via their complaints form on the website. I saw this advert over the weekend with my brother and was utterly disgusted by it.
Taking some more inspiration from the comments on this page I sent this to them:
I'm writing to complain about the Orangina 'Naturally Juicy' advertisement I saw on TV last week.
I believe that this advert was inappropriate for the product (a soft drink) as it was incredibly over-sexualised and pornographic. The scenes where the 'female' animals were sprayed with Orangina (particularly over the breasts) were particularly disturbing, as well as the scenes where the 'females' straddled spraying bottles of Orangina. The orgasmic faces on the 'female' animals also added to the porn aspect, and it was not necessary to show the ‘female’ animals straddling the ‘male’ animals in a very sexually suggestive manner.
I believe this advert unneccesarily sexualised animals and pandered to gender stereotypes by having aggressive 'male' animals pursue submissive 'female' animals. I was also concerned about the possible racist undertones whereby the aggressive 'male' was a black bear. There are many other aspects of this advert that disturb me, and they all concern its overt sexual content.
In short, I found this advert to be completely sickening and particularly offensive to women. It was not necessary for Orangina to use such sexualised pornographic images merely to sell a drink. Being an animated advert will make it appeal to children, and the use of animals rather than people is a thin way to disguise the overt sexism and sexual objectification of women, yet sadly this flimsy disguise seems to have worked.
I hope that this advert will be removed from TV. Thank you for your time.
OK it's not the most well-written complaint but it gets the point across. I would suggest others do the same and complain. Then hopefully I will never have to see this advert again!

What's with all the prejudice against furrys? It's just a fetish, like any other. Incidentally, feminism and furryness are not necessarily mutually exclusive.
I'm a feminist, a woman and also a furry. I find this advert absolutely disgusting and sexist and I feel sick whenever I get the misfortune of seeing this advert. But if it gets taken off the air because of blind prejudice instead of outrage at the misogynistic filth it is, then it would be no better than if it stays.
My apologies if I seem overly aggressive or offensive in this comment, it is not my intention.

I've complained to the Asa various times about numerous examples of plain offensive advertising. They are not interested.. unless it's specifically misleading or misselling a product they're not bothered. You just have to look at their recent rulings to see how indifferent they are concerning social issues in advertising.

Hi Sabre, I too was unsure what a 'furry' is, but looked it up on the internet - a good link explaining it is here - http://wulfsige.com/furry.htm
I saw this advert one evening and was so stunned and was unsure what I had seen had actually happened! I have literally not seen such an obviously pornographic and misogynist advert for a while (except Lynx ads or that nasty burger ad).
