Feminist singing group to serenade* London

by Jess McCabe // 21 September 2008, 19:22

This is one for the more tuneful Londoners: a feminist singing group is launching this Tuesday, and will meet for the next 11 weeks.

The group is "feminist themed, though not women only, with a combination of thrilling jazz, gospel, folk, pop and protest harmony songs".

WHERE: St Barts Church, Cravn Park Road N15 (equidistant Seven Sisters tube and Stamford Hill) WHEN: Tuesday eves 6.30-8.30pm starting 23/9 for 11 weeks. COST: Sliding scale £4-8 or £40 for the term CONTACT: wildsing@gmail.com

*Note: actually, I have no idea if the group will do a public performance, but couldn't resist a silly headline
