What’s going on in 2009?

Our events listings are looking a little sparse for 2009.

Help us out by telling us what’s happening near you - it can be tough keeping track of what’s going on up and down the UK!

To give you a guide, we’re looking for one-off events, rather than regular meetings. You can still see our 2008 events listings, so that should also help see what we’re after.

Feel free to leave us a comment, or you can email me if you so prefer.

Right, lots of things happening here in Dublin! I know it's not the UK, but still :)

January 24th: Launch of Queer Spraoi, a non-commercial queer alternative space. We'll start off with a film screening and dancing into the night! 8pm, @ Seomra Spraoi, 10 Belvedere Court, Dublin 1

February 11th: Second Queer Spraoi event! 'Radical (Trans) Genders', a workshop about gender and sexual identity, with the intent of learning, sharing and having fun with the ridiculous standards we're held to every day. @ Seomra Spraoi, 7pm

February 13th & 14th: Lesbian Lives conference @ UCD, Dublin 4. More info: http://www.ucd.ie/werrc/lesbianlives2009.html

March 8th: Feminist Walking Tour of Dublin! After last year's succesful FWT for International Women's Day, another is being organised by members of local feminist organisations (such as Choice Ireland, RAG, Lashback and others!). It'll take place on Sunday 8th, details forthcoming! For more info please contact feministwalkingtour (((((AT]]]]] yahoo *({DOT}]] ie

Have your say

In order to keep this blog as a feminist and friendly space, comments will be subject to some rules. We do not seek to censor debate: the beauty of the internet is that anyone can set up their own blog or website to express their views.

  1. This blog is a safe and friendly space for feminists and feminist allies. Debate and critique are welcome where it is constructive and deepens analysis or understanding. Anti-feminist comments will not be approved. We get to decide what's anti-feminist.
  2. All comments must be approved by one of the bloggers. For this reason, there may be a delay before your comment appears.
  3. No sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, classist, ablist comments, comments which make personal attacks on any blogger or commenter, or comments that are otherwise deemed offensive by us will be posted.
  4. Trolls will be banned from commenting. We get to decide who is a troll.
  5. No anonymous comments - please feel free to use your real name or make one up, though.
  6. Be nice.

Please note that your email address will not be displayed on this website. All comments are checked, prior to being published on this site.
