Planning protests with FemSoc against Miss Leeds (regional heat of Miss England)

Involvement with the Campaign for a Rape Crisis Centre in Leeds

Planning a sister Reclaim the Night March in Leeds

Setting up of a regular feminist stall in Leeds City Centre

Challenging sale and display policies of shops selling lads mags

Challenging the 9 lap dancing clubs in Leeds and national Lap Dancing Licensing

Challenging the 6 sex shops in Leeds

Contributing to the Leeds University Union Body Beautiful campaign

The group hold regular meetings; the next will take place on Sunday 1 March. If you'd like to get involved in any of the above campaigns, or would like more details, contact leeds[at]object.org.uk.

Well done to all those protesting against the distasteful Miss Leeds competition. My grand-mother was involved in the women's sufferage movement and so even as a bloke I feel some connection to your cause. I know if she was still with us she would be supporting your group in every way possible.

It is disgraceful how much damage is being done to women's equality in recent years with the ever encroaching reach of objectification. My heart goes out to all the brave people willing to take a stand against these awful spectacles.
