Gender and sexual politics in India and beyond

On Sunday, the British Library is hosting a panel discussion on "gender and sexual politics in India and beyond", which has a fantastic line-up:

Panelists for this debate will include Salma, self-educated poet and novelist in Tamil; publisher, historian ... Urvashi Butalia Director and Co-founder of India’s first feminist publisher; James Bridle of publishing house Bookkake, Sangeeta Datta the London-based film historian, producer and critic, and novelists Varsha Adalja and Neel Mukherjee. Chaired by Kishwar Desai.
This event coincides with the British Council’s India 09 literature programme which is participating in the Market Focus India as part of London Book Fair 09.
