Only a few weeks until Ladyfest Oxford - they sent us over the full line-up this morning:
LADYFEST: 17th May to 23rd May 2009 Ladyfest is a non-profit festival which presents and supports the creative talents of professional and amateur female acts in our community; they have been held in over fifty cities worldwide since 2000. From the 17th to the 23rd May, Oxford will play host to its second ever Ladyfest. Come and join us in a week of festivities as we celebrate women’s contribution to the arts, including film, music, literature and more! All of our events are welcome to everyone! Sunday 17th May LADYFEST MEETS SUNDAY ROAST from 8.30pm at the Cellar (Frewin Court) Tuesday 19th May LADYFEST SEXUALITY AND ETHNICITY FILM WORKSHOP Come along for a lively discussion on race, sexuality, and representation with feminist cinema enthusiasts and film studies tutors to understand better how racism and marginalisation operate and how they impact women today. Free refreshments will be provided. St John’s College, 5-7pm Wednesday 20th May LADYFEST AT THE JERICHO TAVERN The Jericho Tavern (Walton Street), Doors open at 8pm **Proceeds from the gig will be going to the Oxford Sexual Abuse and Rape Crisis Centre**The evening’s line up will be:

LADYFEST BOOK GROUP
Borders (downstairs), 5.30pm
We will be discussing Joyce Carol Oates’ short story ‘Faithless’
(from the collection Faithless: Tales of Trangression), a story in which
two adult sisters recall their mother’s disappearance during their
childhood.
You don’t need to be an English student; all are welcome for a friendly
and informal discussion of women and gender in literature.
Saturday 23rd May
LADYFEST CRAFTERNOON
The Latner and Miles Rooms in St Peter’s College, from 2pm
We will be show casing women’s creativity and encouraging you to get
involved in a crafternoon.Workshops will be held demonstrating knitting skills, other textile
methods, and zine and DIY culture.Crafty ladies will be selling their handmade wares and zines will be
present thanks to the distros taking part.Throughout the afternoon we will also be holding a swap shop and knitting
circle.The timetable for the workshops is as follows:
14:00 - 15:00: knitting skills
15:00 - 16:00: diy and zine talk
16:00 - 17:00: textile method tbc.Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

Is there any sort of central hub of information about when and where Ladyfests are coming up? It's really difficult to find out when one is going to be coming up! I like travelling to different ladyfests!
