Petition to Support Sudanese Women’s Human Rights

Thanks to reader earwicga for highlighting this petition, which calls on the Sudanese Parliament and Ministry of Justice to remove the article 152, under which Lubna Hussein and her party were arrested for wearing trousers in public, from Sudan’s criminal law:

This article is what the Public Order Police (PoP) in Sudan uses to harass women about their dress code. Article 152 has been implemented in Sudan since 1991. It stipulates that any conduct or clothes in violation of public decency should be punished with 40 lashes or a bail or both.
