Oxfam campaign to save mothers and babies worldwide

by Laura Woodhouse // 2 September 2009, 17:00

One woman dies needlessly in childbirth or pregnancy every single minute worldwide due to a lack of basic healthcare facilities; Oxfam are urging supporters to help change this by asking Gordon Brown to push for free public healthcare for mothers and children in a number of poorer countries at this month's UN General Assembly:

Show Gordon Brown that people in the UK want him to help give mums and babies in poor countries the same care as they get here.

Simply add a sentence or two to the statement about why free health care for mothers and children means a lot to you. We’ll deliver all of your messages directly to the Prime Minister. And of course, we’ll let you know what difference your campaigning has made.
