We’re looking for new guest bloggers to join us initially for a month’s blogging at The F Word. While we have been actively reaching out to people, we thought it would also make sense to do a call out on the blog so we can reach as many people as possible.

We’d particularly like to give a platform to resisters of specific oppressions, including ableism, racism, classism, ageism, transphobia and homophobia, because most of us in the collective are white, able bodied and middle class, in addition to having privilege in other ways. We are also keen to provide a platform to a wide range of feminisms. This doesn’t mean you’d be restricted to blogging on one particular issue, or pigeon-holed as our blogger on that subject: you can write on whatever you like, and your presence certainly doesn’t mean that the rest of the collective have no responsibility to try and address a wide range of issues and oppressions.

Guest bloggers will be given support and guidance throughout. You don’t need to have blogging experience - we will provide a guide to blogging here - or have a perfect command of English; what you have to say is more important than being a fancy writer (though fancy writers are equally welcome!).

If you would like to guest blog for us, please send an email to laura.woodhouse[at]thefword.org.uk explaining why you’re interested and whether there are any particular issues you’d like to cover. Your comments will be passed on to the rest of the collective for discussion. We can’t promise a slot to everyone - it depends on how many people are interested and what their particular areas of interest are - but we may be able to offer you something in the future or a one-off guest post if we can’t offer a full stint this time round.
