This Is Not An Invitation To Rape Me

An exhibition opened yesterday at the University of Pennsylvania, called This Is Not An Invitation To Rape Me.
While this is not something that most UK feminists will be attending, I thought it was worth posting because of the incredibly powerful gallery of photographs on the exhibition's website.
Words like:
rape
a kiss is not a contract
a feel is not consent
and a hard-on
doesn't give you
the right to force yourself
inside a woman
are moving and true and vital. There are images, too, of situations with the words 'this is not an invitation to rape me' placed at strategic points, and images of media reporting of rape sentencing, amongst other things.
I would recommend going over to the site and watching a slideshow of the images, though please bear in mind that they could be triggering to some.

Really powerful set of images!
Think it's worth pointing out that at least some of the photos are from a Scottish anti-rape campaign.
