Interesting vox pop by the Irish Feminist Network. They're also on Twitter.

I always find it interesting/saddening when women talk about "women" as though they weren't women themselves. It's as though they've just accepted the sexist tropes they hear from other people and the media without ever once stopping to say "Hey, that's me you're talking about!".

I'm delighted that someone has finally started to draw attention to the shocking state of Irish Feminism! We need to work harder to educate people, starting with our school children, about gender equality issues. The National Women's Council in Ireland is really having no effect at all in this area. Nothing will change until our children are taught to think critically about gender equality!!!
