Tell AIBA boxers don’t need skirts

Next week the Amateur International Boxing Association (AIBA) will make its final decision on whether to force female boxers to wear skirts in the ring, in a bid to make them look more “elegant” and help us poor confused members of the public differentiate them from male boxers.

I suspect the plan to make female boxers into sexy, delicate little flowers could well backfire if said boxers have to put up with sexist tossers buying ring-side tickets to try and get a look at their underwear – surely a perfect recipe for enhanced aggression and punching power, not ladylike elegance?

According to Change.org, AIBA’s decision will be based at least in part on public opinion, so please sign this petition to show your opposition to this ridiculous piece of gender policing.
