Greta Hughson enters the fairytale world of The Girl with the Iron Claws

Girl with the iron claws 1.jpgA forest. A king bewitched to appear as a bear. A Troll Queen. The Girl with the Iron Claws has all the ingredients of a fairytale, with puppetry to boot.

The production has four actors portraying a wide variety of characters as they tell the tale of the Girl, her life with the bear-king and the journey she must experience. Greta Hughson finds it engaging and charming - but has it managed to modernise the morality of an old fairytale?
