Ladyfest Leeds 2007

// 28 January 2007

Ladyfest Leeds is a festival celebrating creativity, diversity and promoting gender equality, particularly promoting female artists across a multitude of artistic fields, and will take place from Tuesday 10th to Sunday 15th April 2007.

Are you interested in getting involved with Ladyfest Leeds 2007?

Ladyfest Leeds is currently booking people to lead workshops, seminars and talks at the festival. We will prioritise events which have not been held at previous Ladyfests (or if they have been held, build upon past events).

We are particularly interested in Yorkshire-based practitioners, but are keen to hear from everyone interested in facilitating an event at Ladyfest Leeds.

This is the first Ladyfest to be held by people living in Leeds, and builds on the heritage of over 100 Ladyfests that have been held around the world since 2000, which have all encouraged female artists and performers. All genders and sexualities are welcome and encouraged to get involved and help in the organisation.

Ladyfests are non-profit events which aim to generate revenue for local and national women’s charities, therefore we are likely to prioritise those who would perform or facilitate workshops for free, however we do wish to fully support and value your talents and bring a wide range of workshops to Ladyfest Leeds, and we always pay expenses.

Ladyfest Leeds requires all participants to be sympathetic to the inclusiveness of this event.
