Map of “state-sponsored homophobia”

// 8 April 2008

The ILGA has produced a map of state-sponsored homophobia, and a “world survey of laws prohibiting same sex activity between consenting adults”, to mark its 30th anniversary.

You can see the map here in English, but it is also available in Spanish, French and Portuguese.

Wow, this is interesting. I really didn’t think you could be murdered for being gay in some countries… whoa. Still, in the UK it was imprisonment till the 60s, kind of the same time abortion laws were passed. We’ve got a long way to go, but I’m glad we’ve come at least as far as we have since the 60s.

This is really intersting to see which countries i will NOT be traveling to in the future, i am not gay but i think its disgusting the way that you can be killed because of who you love, how can love between 2 people ever be a bad thing?
