For those that are interested this public meeting will also be addressing the extension of the 1967 Abortion Act to Northern Ireland. Women in NI currently cannot have legal abortions here and are required to travel to GB or further afield if they are seeking to terminate a crisis pregnancy. We are hoping to get a load of women from NI to go to this meeting and to call for the amendment to be passed! This is a cause that was fought and won by women in other parts of the UK in the 1960s, but women in NI are still seeking to have their reproductive autonomy recognised. Please show your support for women in NI at http://www.new.facebook.com/group.php?gid=23645570204 and sign the petition at http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/abortionNI/
