Glasgow Feminist Network – readings and discussion against gendered violence

// 25 October 2008

In the run-up to the 16 Days Of Activism Against Gender Violence Campaign (for more info see Glasgow Feminist Network would like to invite you to a reading and discussion on Saturday the 8th of November from 6-8pm at Borders Buchanan Street, downstairs in the basement.

At this event we will explore the aforementioned issues, whilst also looking at positive actions (this could range from action taken by women’s groups from around the world or actions you have taken personally) that have been taken in the struggle against gender violence. Those who attend are encouraged to share their views and to bring along readings they would like to share (this could be taken from a book, films, poems, articles, songs, anything goes!) which have perhaps shocked or inspired you.

Free entry; refreshments provided; women and men welcome.

Thanks for posting this, Jess!

We had a similar event for International Women’s Day earlier this year, and it was a huge success – I expect this one to bigger and better!

I started picking out what I’m going to read today!

I hope to see F Word readers there!
