Since it’s international elimination of violence against women day tomorrow, how about TFW doing something I saw on a blog recently which is taking the BBC news site (or similar) and blogging about all the violence against women stories it runs. Which are bound to be the tip of the iceberg, since only a tiny proportion of incidents ever get reported, but it’s still incredibly shocking. Here’s one to start you off

Oh and there’s also a UK domestic violence memorial site which does a similar thing but it hasn’t been updated recently.

I wish I could go to these. Is there anyway these things could be organised in places other than London aswell? I wouldn’t really know where to start so maybe if someone could set me on the right path…?

@aimee There’s events taking place up and down the country right now – some are listed here. womensgrid also posts a lot of events linked to the 16 days of action on violence against women.

@ aimee: there’s a yahoo group called uk feminist action which will inform you of activist events taking place over the uk.
