Welcome to our new bloggers!

// 24 May 2010

I’m delighted to announce that Jolene Tan, Josephine Tsui and Shiha Kaur will be joining The F-Word blogging collective as permanent bloggers following their guest blogging stints earlier this year.

Syma Tariq will also be joining as a permanent blogger, but will not be a collective member for now. This isn’t because we don’t want her (!) rather that being a collective member requires an additional amount of time and work that not everyone is able to commit, so bloggers also have the option of being able to blog from time to time without getting involved in collective decision-making.

It’ll be nice to have some new faces around the place, and we have no doubt that all four will make a valuable contribution to the blog. Please make them feel welcome!

Hey, just wondering, how do you decide who gets to guest blog? Not asking particularly because I want to (god knows I don’t update my own blog nearly enough). I’m just interested.

Great news. Jolene and Shiha have written some of my favourite/most inspiring posts on here. I’m sure Josephine is up there too.

@angercanbepower

We did a call-out for guest bloggers on the blog last year and then drew up a short-list out of those who replied. We’ve been using that since January. The collective members also actively invite people to guest blog if we think they would make a good contribution, and individuals are welcome to put themselves forward or write a one-off post and submit it in the same way as a feature or review.
