The title of the benefit night for the Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre aims to sum up the ethos of this fantastic event. You start with a small group of women who really care about ending violence against women and supporting those affected by violence against women. They contact some more women, suddenly you have an amazing fundraising evening with exceptionally talented women performers on your hands!

The Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre is based in Croydon and provides a high standard of professional support to survivors of sexual violence. It offers advocacy and counselling as well as operating a national helpline. It is a truly fantastic organisation which I am very proud to be part of by working on their helpline.

The centre lives and breaths the empowerment model of supporting survivors and training their volunteers! It focuses on the strength and determination of survivors, supports them to make their own decisions and to take control of their own journey to heal from rape or sexual abuse in the way and at the pace the survivor wants too or feels able too.

So please join us in supporting this fantastic organisation and enjoying an evening of women performers including:

  • Award-winning ‘wobbly’ comedian and TV star, Francesca Martinez
  • Singer Songwriter, Karen Grace
  • Outstanding Performance Poet, Dzifa Benson
  • Radical feminist comedian Kate Smurthwaite
  • Singer/Songwriter Chloe Vaughan
  • Singer/Songwriter Shura
  • and Music to dance to from November Fleet and Kate Richardson & band
