Runners wanted: to raise money for Refuge, which runs a network of safehouses for women and children escaping domestic violence

Domestic violence charity Refuge is seeking runners to raise money at some of the big runs this year.

If you want to take part, just email Jess Madeley at jessica_madeley@refuge.org.uk. She says:

One of the important ways in which Refuge raises money to deliver our specialist domestic violence services is through key events throughout the year, some of which involve running! 2011 is a milestone year for us and marks our 40th birthday and we were hoping that you would consider running in one of our events. Or if running isn’t for you maybe you could help us by recruiting running teams through your contacts and friends. This could also be a great team building activity for any organisation whilst also being a key fundraising activity for Refuge.

We want 2011 to be our best year yet – but to achieve this we need your help and support.
