Whatever happened to Cunning Stunts?

Sphinx Theatre is revisiting the feminist theatre tropes of the 1970s and ’80s as part of the Women of the World festival at London’s South Bank Centre.

As well as a cabaret performance, there will be a panel discussion and readings of some “iconic” texts:

If you’re after some background on Cunning Stunts and some of the other feminist theatre activism of the second wave, you could do much worse than checking out Red Chidgey’s review from a few years ago of an audio history of these troupes.
