Women Against the Cuts logoWomen Against the Cuts“A group of women from diverse backgrounds who have come together to fight the government cuts from a feminist perspective” – are organising a women’s bloc for this Saturday’s March for the Alternative.

From the Facebook event:

We are calling on all women to stand in solidarity together against the cuts that will affect the most vulnerable in our society the most.

Come dressed in purple and green with pots and pans or anything else to make a lot of noise!

Tell everyone you know, get mobilising! Let’s make this as big as it should be.

The women’s bloc and action is supported by:

Women Against the Cuts, Fawcett Society, Feminst Library, Southall Black Sisters, Million Women Rise, London Feminist Network, Eaves Housing for Women, Women Against Fundamentalism & more

Meet 10am Royal Courts of Justice, the Strand, east of the Aldwych (nearest tube: Temple on the District line); join the march at 10:30am.
