Can I interview you about leaving an abusive relationship?

Hi everyone, it’s Jess here, former editor of The F-Word.

Some of you may know I have been working for the last few months on a crowdfunded project about domestic abuse.

I’m trying to unpick the financial reasons that people stay in abusive relationships, and how that might have got worse due to government cuts, welfare reforms and austerity measures.

I’m also looking at the myths around why people don’t just leave once a relationship turns violent or otherwise abusive.

All this is for a series of articles that will be published by the news agency Women’s eNews.

I’m still looking to interview people anywhere in the UK who have gone through this experience.

If this is you, please get in touch; initially by email on jess.mccabe@gmail.com. Or you can also leave a message in the comments here.

All interviews will be anonymous! (Unless you particularly want to have your name published, then we can have a conversation about that.)
